The Story

The Panerai Radiomir 1940, reference PAM00628, is a striking and technically sophisticated member of the Radiomir 1940 collection, combining Panerai’s distinctive military-inspired design language with practical, travel-oriented complications.

Crafted from stainless steel, the watch features a substantial 45mm cushion-shaped case with the smooth, integrated lugs characteristic of the Radiomir 1940 line, paired with a sapphire crystal and an exhibition case back that reveals the in-house automatic calibre P.4002.

The black “Paris hobnail” textured dial enhances visual depth while maintaining Panerai’s renowned legibility through oversized luminous numerals and markers, complemented by a GMT function for a second time zone, a date display, a small seconds sub-dial and a power-reserve indicator.

The P.4002 movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a robust 72-hour power reserve. Water-resistant to 100 metres, the PAM00628 balances vintage Italian naval heritage with modern horological engineering.

Offered as a full set with original box and papers.
